What Is the Honors House
at Mohn Hall?

The Honors House at Mohn Hall is a vital part of the Honors community. Living in the Honors House is intended to enhance your learning on several levels.

First, Mohn Hall is a supportive environment for those who are serious about their studies. As you know, you are much more likely to do well academically if you are surrounded by others who are equally committed to academic success. Their example will help your resolve. They can also provide assistance when you are struggling in a class or with a particular assignment. And, of course, you can get into great discussions with them that will help all of you understand better the nature and importance of the material you are studying.

Further support is provided by quiet hours, study lounges, and computers and printers that are available for use twenty-four hours a day. Also located in Mohn Hall are an Honors office and an Honors classroom.

As an Honors community, we want to support each other's enthusiasm for learning, but we also recognize how important it is for this learning to be well-rounded. Academic success is very important; equally important, however, are spiritual, emotional, physical, and social success. Perhaps most important is our success in integrating these various parts of ourselves. It is to the attainment of these various successes that the Honors House is dedicated.
