Meet Daisy Diaz

“What I love about DCP's cohort model is that it's really intimate. I became close to all the other people in the program. We helped each other in every class.”

Meet Daisy Diaz

I first learned about DCP from a friend. She told me that Albright's DCP program catered to individuals who worked and had families but I was really concerned about tuition costs since I am a single parent. Much to my relief it turned out not to be a problem — at all. In fact, financial aid really helped me out and I enrolled easily.

I've worked for a criminal justice attorney for eight years and what I've learned (and continue to learn) in the DCP program is directly relevant. I'm now taking my LSATs (I took the prep class at Albright) and heading to law school myself — a direction that has become my passion. I am one of the few people who speak Spanish in my firm and I see that sometimes people are not comfortable with the language barrier. For me, becoming an attorney for my own community would be a huge sense of accomplishment.

I'll be the first in my family to graduate from college so graduating from the program will give me great satisfaction personally. As for the future, a few of us from the program want to open up a law firm together!
