| A former
Pennsylvania State Senator and member of the Pennsylvania
House of Representatives, Bob served as executive director
of the State Public School Building Authority and the Pennsylvania
Higher Education Facilities Authority for eight years.
He owned Roberts & Company, a Reading-area public relations
agency since 1954. Other business ventures include: Co-owner
of Osprey Capital Management firm in Jacksonville, Florida,
as well as beach front resort hotels and nightclubs in Wildwood,
New Jersey and Naples, Florida.
He also created Suburban TV Cable Company in Reading. For
more than 56 years Bob was public relations and marketing
manager for AAA Reading-Berks and produced its publication,
On the Go. He was a reporter for the Reading Times
for 10 years and edited "The New Era" weekly
labor newspaper for 28 years. He also was president of the
Wernersville State Hospital board of trustees. |
