Undergraduate Awareness

The Fund for Albright is helping our current students understand the impact of our generous donors, who include alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, foundations, corporations, and more. Tuition only covers two-thirds of the cost of an Albright education. Without the support of our donors, the College would be unable to cover the additional costs.

What is The Fund for Albright?

The fact is, tuition only pays two-thirds of the cost of an Albright education. Gifts to The Fund for Albright from alumni, parents, students, employees and friends help bridge the gap. The Fund helps keep tuition and fees as low as possible, while ensuring that you have access to exceptional educational opportunities. Gifts to The Fund support scholarships, clubs, athletics, music, art and theatre programs, computer labs, trips and social activities, student research and creative activity, lectures and cultural events, science lab equipment and so much more!

Through Student Programs, we aim to educate our current students through activities that help thank our donors.

Thank a Donor Week

During the week of April 28 – May 2, 2008, there were large posters displayed in the campus center. The posters had the faces of people that students see every day on campus – professors, administrators, coaches, and fellow students.

The purpose of Thank a Donor week is to increase student awareness of the importance of creating a culture of gratitude at Albright. Students will have the chance to learn why very familiar faces from campus have given more than just their time to Albright. The professors, administrators, coaches, and students featured have given to The Fund for Albright as well.

Thank a Donor week does something very special – it shows students how to create a culture of gratitude at Albright. Thank a Donor Week was created to allow students to thank the donors on campus (only a few are represented on the posters) that make it possible for Albright to continue to thrive. During this week, students will have the chance to ask questions about The Fund and learn why people they see every day make room in their lives for philanthropy at Albright.

Thanks-for-Giving Initiative
Thanksgiving Week

The Thanks-for-Giving program was introduced in 2006 as a way for students to thank Albright's donors for their generosity. Since then, thousands of alumni, parents, employees and friends of the College have received thank-you cards personally signed by grateful students.

The 2009 Thanks-for-Giving program began on October 27 and ran through November 5 with card signings in the Campus Center. We would like to say an extra special thank you to those organizations who had taken the time out of their meetings to help sign cards: Lion Diplomats, SGA, Phi Mu, Alpha Delta Pi, Hillel, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Sigma Kappa, and Pi Kappa Phi.

The 2008 Thanks-for-Giving program began on November 3 and ran through November 14 with card signings in the Campus Center. We would like to say an extra special thank you to those organizations who had taken the time out of their meetings to help sign cards: Lion Diplomats, IFC, SGA, Phi Mu, Alpha Delta Pi, AC2, Hillel, Football, Volleyball, Pi Kappa Phi, AVAO.

The 2007 Thanks-for-Giving program began November 5 and ran through November 14. Students were able to sign their cards during lunch in the Campus Center, at participating club meetings and in select dormitories. More than 400 students took part in the 2007 program, and they signed more than 2,400 cards!

A special thanks to the 14 organizations and residence halls that supported the 2007 program: Pi Kappa Phi, Phi Mu, Field Hockey, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Lion Diplomats, Helping Paws, Anime Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Admissions, North Hall, Mohn Hall, Walton Hall and Krause Hall.

The program was an immense success and a great way to say "Thanks-for-Giving" to all of Albright's donors during the Thanksgiving Season!
