Circulation Guidelines

Welcome to the Gingrich Library of Albright College. We welcome all patrons to use the library for research purposes. It is understood that anyone entering will respect the library, its collections, and its patrons.

Circulation Material Policies

Orange Divider Graphic Library Cards and Loan Periods

Barcoded Library Cards are needed by anyone checking materials out of the library and using Reserve material. Individuals associated with Albright College will be furnished with a library barcode on the reverse side of the college identification card issued by Safety and Security. Non-college patrons wishing to be issued a library card should inquire at the circulation desk. Replacement ID cards are issued by Public Safety, while replacement red library cards are available at the circulations desk for a $5 fee.

We have a 6 week loan period for students and other patrons except faculty, administration and staff who borrow for a 4 month period. Items may be renewed one time (if not needed by another patron) with a library card and the material at the Circulation Desk or through the online renewal form.
   
Orange Divider Graphic Suspension of Borrowing Privileges
  Patrons who do not abide by the library rules, including the timely return of borrowed materials, payment of lost materials, and who do not respect the library, its collections or its patrons may have their borrowing privileges suspended.
